Privacy policy

Last updated 2026-10-27. WhichNoteTaker (whichnotetaker.com) is operated by Grey 59 Inc., an Oregon corporation. Contact: contact@whichnotetaker.com.

The short version. You can read this site without an account. We don't add analytics or tracking scripts to our pages, we don't set cookies, and we have no ads or newsletter. Some links are affiliate links, marked "(paid link)"; see "Affiliate links" below.

Hosting. The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. To deliver pages and protect the site, Cloudflare processes information about each visit, such as your IP address and other information about your request and traffic to the site, and may keep logs of those requests. Cloudflare's privacy policy explains how it handles that data. Cloudflare also shows us basic traffic statistics for the site, such as how many requests it served, collected at its network rather than by any script on our pages. Cloudflare also asks your browser to report network errors it runs into while loading the site (a standard called Network Error Logging). Those reports go only to Cloudflare, and Cloudflare doesn't ask for reports on successful page loads.

Cookies and analytics. We don't set any cookies, and we don't add analytics or tracking tools to our pages. We haven't turned on Cloudflare's bot-check features or its Web Analytics, which add their own cookies or scripts. If Cloudflare's security systems ever show you a challenge page, Cloudflare may set a cookie that records that you passed it (Cloudflare cookies).

Affiliate links. Some links are affiliate links, marked "(paid link)". Right now they all go to Bluedot (bluedothq.com) and end in "?ref=whichnotetaker", a code that tells Bluedot we sent you. Our pages don't run any affiliate script, and we don't set a cookie when you click. Once you're on Bluedot's site, Bluedot and the affiliate platform it uses, Tolt, record the click (for example the page you land on, the site you came from, your IP address, country, device and browser) and set their own cookie on Bluedot's site for 60 days, so we get credit if you later pay for Bluedot. Your browser tells them you came from whichnotetaker.com, but not which page. We don't send Bluedot or Tolt your name, email or anything else about you. If you pay for Bluedot, Tolt shows us that a sale happened, what was paid and our commission, usually with your email partly hidden (Bluedot can choose to show us more, such as your full email and name). We use that only to check our commissions and don't combine it with anything else. Bluedot's and Tolt's own privacy policies cover what they collect.

Google Search Console. We use Google Search Console to see how our pages show up in Google Search results. We verify the site with a DNS record, so there's no Google code on our pages, and Search Console doesn't track you on this site. How Google handles your own searches is covered by Google's privacy policy.

Email. If you email contact@whichnotetaker.com, Cloudflare Email Routing forwards it to Grey 59 Inc.'s inbox, which is hosted by Google (Gmail). Cloudflare says Email Routing doesn't store or access the content of emails. Cloudflare's routing records, which include the sender, recipient and subject, are available to us for 31 days. Your email stays in our inbox until we delete it, and we'll delete it if you ask. We use your email only to reply to you, and we don't add you to any list.

What we don't do. We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it except with the service providers that run the site and our email, or when the law requires it. Clicking a paid link sends your browser straight to the company's site; we don't pass your information to it.

Your choices. To ask about or delete information we hold about you, such as an email you sent us, email contact@whichnotetaker.com.

Do Not Track. We don't track visitors over time or across other sites, and we treat every visit the same way, whatever your browser's Do Not Track setting. If you follow a paid link, Bluedot and Tolt record that click and may set their own cookie on Bluedot's site; how they respond to Do Not Track is up to them. See "Affiliate links."

Children. This site isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes. If we change this policy, we'll update the date above.
