Affiliate disclosure
The short version: Grey 59 Inc., which runs WhichNoteTaker, earns money when you pay for a product after following some of our links. Those links are marked "(paid link)", and the note near the top of each page names the companies on that page that pay us. It costs you nothing extra. Right now Bluedot is the only company that pays us. We include tools that pay us nothing, and a company can't pay to be listed or ranked higher.
Who runs this site: WhichNoteTaker is operated by Grey 59 Inc., an Oregon corporation. Contact: contact@whichnotetaker.com.
Affiliate programs we've joined (as of 2026-10-27)
| Company (network) | Joined | What we earn | Paid links on this site? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bluedot (Tolt) | 2026-10-27 | 20%, public page, checked 2026-10-27 | Yes, since 2026-10-27 |
Bluedot's public affiliate page says it pays 20% of each payment from a customer we refer, for their first 2 years, when they sign up within 60 days of following our link. Joining a program doesn't pay us anything by itself; only paid links do.
Tools we cover that don't pay us
Bluedot is the only company that pays us. No other tool we cover pays us, including Otter, Fireflies, Granola, Fathom, tl;dv, Notta, TurboScribe, Tactiq, Descript, Zoom, Google Meet, Google's apps, Apple's built-in apps, Plaud, Pocket, Bee, Comulytic, Upheal and Mentalyc, and every other tool named on this site.
How we keep money out of the picks
- Picks come from written decision rules and dated vendor information, explained on how we pick.
- We point to free and built-in options when they're enough.
- If a tool that pays us has a real drawback (a tight free plan, a recording cap, no BAA), it stays in the table.
- We don't claim to have tested a product we haven't used.
- We don't accept payment for placement or a higher spot.
How paid links are marked
Every link that can earn us money says "(paid link)" right next to it, and the note near the top of that page names the companies on that page that pay us. We only add a paid link where we already wrote about that tool. Joining a program doesn't change what we say about a tool or where it ranks, and its drawbacks stay in.
